Respect Through Art – A Community Celebration
The 2026 inspiring artworks were created by local students as part of the Zonta Club of Bunbury’s Students’ Respect Art Calendar Competition. Each piece reflects what Respect means to our young artists – in their schools, families, and wider community.
The project was initially inspired by the work done by Choose Respect Bunbury that advocated a respectful community for all.
Why is Zonta Bunbury Doing This?
The project gives schools, teachers, parents and students a chance to:
-
Talk openly about Respect and Disrespect – what they look like, sound like, and feel like.
-
Encourage young people to express these ideas creatively through art.
-
Build understanding of how Respect shapes positive relationships and communities.
-
By combining the students’ artwork in a yearly calendar, the message of respect becomes a daily reminder throughout the year.
The Impact
-
Students become ‘Respect Ambassadors’, leading by example and encouraging others to act with kindness and understanding.
-
Families join the conversation, strengthening respectful attitudes at home and beyond.
-
Together, we help nurture a generation that values consideration, kindness and inclusion.
A Lasting Message
When children learn about Respect today, they help build a more caring and connected community for tomorrow.
Thank you for taking a moment to celebrate their creativity and their vision of a respectful world.

The Zonta Club of Bunbury is proud to be hosting its 32nd International Women's Day event in Bunbury.
Join Zonta Bunbury members to enjoy breakfast with friends, celebrate International Women's Day and be inspired by our guest speaker
Julia Yeow.
Julia is the Corporate Partnerships Manager at Destiny Rescue and a passionate advocate for justice for women and children affected by exploitation.
Julia has spent over 20 years as a political and investigative journalist, reporting on refugee crises, corruption, poverty, and human rights abuses across the Southeast Asian region. Her work exposed how systemic inequality and vulnerability disproportionately impact women and girls — and how collective action can challenge even the most entrenched injustices.
Ticket sales close on the Sunday 1st March 2025, unless sold out beforehand.
NOTE: If you're with a group and tickets are purchased separately, please indicate the group’s name or name the group’s organising person you wish to sit with.
